Catherine Cantey offers over twenty years of financial service experience helping clients accomplish their goals. The majority of her time has been spent helping maximize returns on liquid balances and overnight investments for governments, higher education and corporate businesses.
Before joining three+one, Catherine spent 7 years with AgFirst Farm Credit, one of four funding banks remaining to support farmers, ranchers and rural homeowners. In that role, she ensured the customer/owner received the full value proposition of a $30 billion funding and service provider. While traveling east of the Mississippi River, Catherine served as an Advisor to CEOs and their senior management teams. Also, Catherine developed relationships with front line employees creating stronger lines of communication, collaboration and growth.
Prior to her role with AgFirst, Catherine was a Senior Vice President and Sales Director at Synovus Financial Corp. with focus on Treasury Services. For over 12 years, Catherine listened and responded to client needs which created win-wins for the client and bank. Working with Synovus allowed Catherine to travel the south east US and learn from the front lines what was needed and what was possible. Catherine also managed a proposal team, developed products and services in response to client needs, managed vendor/partner relationships, developed and trained sales consultants and most importantly visited clients to listen, learn and support their goals.
Catherine is a 2019 Women of Influence honoree as presented by Columbia Regional Business Report. She serves on the boards of The Health Services District of Kershaw County and Central Carolina Technical College Foundation. Catherine is a John Maxwell Team Member, and certified coach with Marshall Goldsmith’s Stakeholder Centered Coaching. Other interests include Wellness, Customer Experience, Operational Efficiencies, Coding, Blockchain, Jobs To Be Done, Change Management, Opportunity Zones, Financial Services/Payment Processing and Agriculture.
Catherine has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with Double Major of Marketing and Management from the University of South Carolina.
