Treasurer Chris Lauzen, of Kane County,  IL,  has been awarded the 2025 cashVest National Leadership Award for excellence in financial management, a prestigious honor presented annually to just one public finance official in the country.

The award recognizes outstanding financial stewardship, innovation, and measurable impact in managing public funds. Treasurer Lauzen’s work stands out not only for its results but for the strategic, data-informed approach he brings to public finance.

Since Kane County joined the cashVest program in January 2024, the impact has been significant:

Kane County’s Financial Results at a Glance:

  • $47.6 million in cumulative revenue generated through proactive liquidity strategies
  • $4.65 million year-over-year increase in earnings—a 28% improvement despite an 8% drop in benchmark interest rates
  • $95,153 in added revenue through improved banking collaboration
  • $541,910 in realized revenue from a recent banking RFP, supported by three+one’s rfpPrep tool
  • 95.1% of the 30-day Treasury benchmark earned in the most recent quarter
